Welcome

It’s that time of year again. Autumn has arrived. When I think of Autumn, I think of leaves turning colors, cornucopia’s covering the Thanksgiving tables, pumpkins on the front stoop. I remember the joy of childhood and trick or treating. I remember raking leaves just so I could jump in the pile. So many of my memories center on the fall season and without noticing it, the season is already half over.

As I’ve gotten older, the months seem to speed by and I wonder where the day, the week, the season has gone. With winter just a short few weeks away, and the first snow fall of the season already on the ground, I realized that if I don’t want to wake up one morning and realize a month has passed seemingly overnight, I’m going to have to slow down, take a look around and try to relax. It’s been so long though since I’ve really taken the time to just relax, I’m not sure what that is anymore. So, what do you do to relax?

Waiting for Willow
by Bonnie Rose Leigh
copyright 2008, eXtasy Books
Genre: Werewolf / Ménage / Series
Available: October 31, 2008 at www.extasybooks.com

Willow Kincaid, a successful pub owner, never expected that dropping off her evenings take at the bank would result in her abduction. Even more bizarre is waking up tied to a temporary altar in Serenity’s only cemetery on All Hallows Eve. When robe-garbed men surround her and begin chanting from an ancient text while holding daggers over her naked body, she’s positive she’ll never live to see morning.

Derek Moretti and Quinn Donovan, werewolves without a pack or family of their own, moved to Serenity after hearing the town was in desperate need of more enforcers to take care of paranormal baddies. Within days, the pair scents their mate and takes jobs as bouncers at The Howler, the pub their mate owns. When Willow fails to return home to her apartment above the pub where they’re laying in wait to claim her, they know something has happened to her and they’ll stop at nothing to see her safely returned to them.

Some Great News!

It’s been an amazing couple of weeks. First, Worlds Apart: Taken, my first single author Print anthology has been released through Amazon and I feel like I’m walking on air. It contains the eBooks: Taliff’s Cure, Hunter’s Revenge, and Mikel’s Wrath. Speaking of print books, I’m working on Galley edits for the Children of the Triad print book, which should be available before Christmas this year. I’ve also received some amazing reviews the last few weeks that made me blush in embarrassment, and some reader emails that warmed my heart.

I’ve also learned that I’m up for awards in several categories at Night Owl Romance right now, something completely unexpected and I’ve submitted two books for the Eppies, Tempering Zoe and The Protector’s Destiny. We’ll see how I do in those two competitions. I also have five books scheduled for release between now and March and soon, Tianna and I will start work on a new series, the Kinross Triads, for eXtasy Books.

I also have my very first book signing scheduled. In January, I’ll be signing all three of my Print books at Flights of Fantasy Books and Games in Albany, NY. I’ll post more information about this closer to the date.

Other News

Now that Waiting for Willow is done, I’ve turned my sights on to writing my Holiday story. Serving Sera is Book 4 in the Serenity Series and is another werewolf ménage, this time an Interracial Romance, so I’m excited about that.

Here’s a snippet of the story (unedited and definitely subject to change before publication):

PROLOGUE

The crowd had started gathering around the Sheriff’s office before dawn this morning. It hadn’t taken long for word to spread about the cultists’ activities. He grew hard as he remembered the terror in Willow’s eyes when she’d been tied to Leonard’s altar. It saddened him that she’d eluded her fate. If those mates of hers hadn’t shown up when they had, he would have feasted on her blood, using her life force to summon his demon. In the end, he’d had to sacrifice one of his followers to summon the demon forth.

As he watched Willow and her mates follow the Sheriff into the station house, he clenched his fists at his sides. Somehow, he’d make them pay for thwarting his plans. He just needed to find a suitable substitute, someone that the threesome would grieve over when he attacked. It shouldn’t take him long to find the perfect prey. Not long at all.

As he watched from a safe distance, he could feel the fear spreading throughout the town, could smell the unease thickening the air. It invigorated him, knowing that everyone in town sensed the danger brewing and could do nothing to stop it. They didn’t know who hunted them, had no idea who had used the cultists to summon their demon lord. The citizens had no idea the power he controlled, the ease with which he could take over this small town.

He’d let them alone for now, let the good people of Serenity grow lazy as time passed without an attack, and in the meantime, he had plans. Big plans.

Scanning the crowd gathered around the Sheriff’s Department one more time, he relished the edgy panic he could see in everyone’s eyes. Soon. Soon, there would be true cause for panic and no one would be safe. He couldn’t wait.

The Protector’s Destiny:
The Protector's Destiny is a novel filled with twists, turns, curves, and erotic scenes. Ms. Leigh took a typical werewolf story and put such a unique twist on it, making it her very own in a spectacular way. The way Elizabeth struggled with her independence and tried to accept help was so compelling and realistic. Samuel started off as the chest beating alpha male. As I got further into the story his characteristics changed, making him a mixture of alpha and beta, the perfect combination. Teaming the two main characters together was like putting a puzzle together, in the end a perfect match of yin and yang. An overload of sensual delight, this book will keep any reader toasty warm through long winter nights and asking the all important question, what happens next? ~ 5 Cups, Danielle, Coffee Time Romance. The Protector’s Destiny:

This story is filled with Ms. Leigh’s usual attention to detail and character depth. These people come alive for the reader. The reader becomes involved in the characters’ lives and really wants to see them succeed.

A delightful read and I was happy to find out there is already a sequel in the pipes. ~ 4.5 Heart, Reviewer Top Pick, Samantha Ann, Night Owl Romance. To read the full review, CLICK HERE
